A safe blind buy is a fragrance you can purchase without smelling first and be reasonably confident you will like. Scendira looks for broad appeal, predictable notes, and strong community agreement across multiple sources.
How do I know if a Scendira product is authentic?
Products should come from authorised or verified distribution channels. Batch codes, packaging quality, and consistency with community descriptions are useful checks. Contact us if a bottle seems materially different from what is documented.

What is projection and sillage, and how do they differ?
Projection is how far a fragrance radiates from your body. Sillage is the scented trail it leaves as you move. A perfume can project strongly at first and still settle into a quieter trail later.
How are fragrances different from Western perfumes?
Many Middle Eastern and niche fragrances use higher concentrations, stronger bases, and traditions built around oud, bakhoor, attar oils, amber, and musk. They also tend to offer strong performance at accessible prices.
What does oud actually smell like?
Traditional oud can smell deep, smoky, woody, leathery, and slightly animalic. Modern oud accords are usually cleaner and softer. Newcomers often find oud with rose, vanilla, or amber easier to wear.

What does maceration mean and does my perfume need it?
Maceration is the settling period after manufacturing. Some bottles become smoother or fuller after several weeks. If the opening smells unusually sharp, give the bottle time in a cool, dark place and test it again.
How should I layer fragrances?
Start with a lighter oil, lotion, or skin scent, wait briefly, then spray the main fragrance over it. Shared base notes such as vanilla, amber, or musk usually layer most naturally.
How long do fragrances last on skin?
Fresh scents may last four to six hours, many eau de parfums last eight to ten, and stronger formulas can last twelve hours or more. Skin type, climate, and application all affect the result.
What if a perfume smells different from what I expected?
It may need time to settle, your skin chemistry may change the drydown, or the opening may differ greatly from the later stages. Start with one spray and judge it after at least an hour.

Where can I find decants before buying a full bottle?
Look for community-vetted decant sellers in your country and confirm how they source and label samples. A two to five millilitre sample is usually enough for several full wears.
