Privacy policy

This policy explains what Scendira collects and what we do with it. It is short because we collect very little.
What we do not collect
We do not take payment, so we never see or store your card details, billing address, or delivery address. We do not have accounts or logins, so there is no password to lose. Purchases happen on third-party retailer sites, and any information you give them is covered by their privacy policy, not this one.
What we do collect
- Analytics. Standard website analytics: pages you visited, roughly where in the world you are, what device and browser you used, and how you arrived. This is used in aggregate to understand what people find useful. It is not used to identify you personally.
- Newsletter email. If you sign up for our weekly email, we store the address you gave us so we can send it. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you.
- Dira conversations. When you use Dira, our fragrance guide, we process what you type in order to produce a recommendation. We use this in aggregate to improve the recommendations. Please do not type anything sensitive or personally identifying into it, because it does not need that to work.
Cookies
We use cookies for basic site function and analytics. You can block or delete them in your browser settings; the site will still work.
Who we share it with
Our website runs on Shopify, and our analytics and email tools are provided by third parties who process this data on our behalf. We do not sell your personal information.
How long we keep it
Analytics data is retained in aggregate. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. and we will action it.
Children
Scendira is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

We may update this policy. The current version always lives at this page, with its last-updated date at the top.
